In addition to its natural blue-green-and-copper colouring, "copper turquoise" is widely sold in a range of fashion colours — purple, pink, green, and deep blue among them. These vivid, often very uniform colours are typically achieved by dyeing the porous turquoise (or the bonded composite material) before it is combined with its copper backing, producing the same striking matrix pattern in a non-traditional palette.
